Positive Solution Focused Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy within Hypnosis can be used to treat depression, anxiety, grief, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCDs), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, addictive behaviour, relationship problems, low self-esteem, fears and phobias.
Psychotherapy is a talking treatment to help clients overcome problems or issues. When it is used within hypnotherapy the emphasis is on the sub-conscious mind providing a solution. This avoids analysing old memories and old problems and is more focused towards future change. It is very effective in relieving many symptoms of anxiety and stress and in changing negative thoughts and behaviour. The use of psychotherapy together with hypnotherapy can help provide, positive solutions to improve self-confidence, and self-esteem in addition to reducing anxiety and the symptoms.
Should you prefer not to include hypnotherapy with your session, then there are other options available; CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which is a form of psychotherapy focusing on how your thoughts are linked to behaviour and feelings. This also includes training to develop skills to deal with triggers and stressful situations. Other forms of psychotherapy help you to identify old patterns and conditioning that may be contributing to your problems.
Usually you will have sessions once a week for two or three months where you will have the opportunity to discuss issues and look at strategies to help you make changes in your behaviour or thoughts.
