Teenagers may benefit from having someone else to talk to other than family or friends. This enables them to speak more freely without feeling that they might upset or put pressure on those close to them. Fears, anxiety, negative thoughts or self image can be helped with hypnotherapy and cbt counselling. Teenagers can also suffer from panic attacks and feel over pressurized from changing circumstances.

It is the reason why some diseases are chronic and respond very poorly to conventional treatments. It is also the reason why some people have such a difficult time losing weight or giving up addictive substances. It is, quite literally, the cause of self sabotage. Psychological Reversal is caused by self defeating, negative thinking which often occurs subconsciously and thus outside of your awareness. Some people have very little of it (this is rare) while others are beset by it most of the time (this also is rare). Most people fall somewhere in between these two extremes. It doesn’t create any feelings within you so you won’t know if it is present or not. Even the most positive people are subject to it. So how can you correct it.
Unconsciously eating when you are stressed means that you eat more than you realise and can become a habit. Training your mind to pay attention and focussing more on what is happening in the now can make a difference to your size and weight. Mindfulness reduces stress and stress is a big factor in causing excess fat around your middle.
When things go wrong or circumstances change we can often feel alone and find we cannot speak to anyone. Our confidence goes down and so it becomes a vicious circle. Helpful support is available in the form of counselling or sometimes CBT. Often just speaking to someone can make the difference or knowing that help is available. This can bring things into perspective and once again you can feel included.
Simply by challenging your thoughts and eliminating the “shoulds”,”oughts” and “musts” from our mind and substituting “can”, “would like to”, or “choose to”, you may notice much of the pressure is lifted from you. Most of this is habit and habits can be changed. Every time you feel your shoulders go up or you notice anxiety in your body, notice what is going on in your mind. Ask yourself if you really “have to” do what it is that is stressing you or whether you might change the thought to “I now choose to”. Notice if your stress levels have gone down.
How can you improve your memory. Mindfulness may be helpful as if affects the way the brain works showing increased activity in the pre-frontal cortex which is an area of the brain associated with positive emotion.. It is a mind-body experience or technique, using meditation, breathing, yoga approaches (stretching and focus) and elements from CBT.
